RO server offline
Hi all,
After almost 5,5 years the server has been put offline. During that time we never had a single wipe; quite a feat I'd say. However, all things must come to an end. We've had great fun administering the server and playing the game. I hope the players had, too.
This website will stay online indefinitely and so will the RO database, so you can still login and have another look at your awesome character.
Thanks,
The pcRO GM Team.

Downloads
Hey all,
I've updated the Downloads page with a new setup and install steps. The Sakray client is not needed anymore, so that simplifies things a lot.
Also, the temporary rate increase to 18/18/24 is now permanent. We might do an event where we raise them even a bit further!

Patcher
Hi all,
I finally tested the server myself today with a relatively new client (which I got from here -- version 6.10.2010). I simply installed the setup from the website, but had trouble from time to time to download the patches. I'm not sure what the problem is (my ISP, Windows 7, tooth fairy, who knows!), but I solved it by moving the patches to pcRO itself.
I had to run the patcher with Administrator privileges the first time and then click the Modify button to configure the Ragnarok settings. After that Ragnarok ran fine.
Have fun!

Back!
Holy crap! The server is back up. Wow.
I moved to a new place and due to circumstances never got around connecting the server. I finally did and here we are. Nothing is lost and everything should still work except for the patcher. I switched to a different ISP, so the patches are not available anymore.
Have fun!

Private message scam
Dear all,
News has reached me that some of you have received private messages of a user called "ForumAdministrator" telling you you've got a virus and should click on a link in order to remove it. Perhaps needless to say, but this is a scam and we did not send that to you.
In case a team member wishes to contact you personally, we do that with our own account and we do not use some generic sounding name as "ForumAdministrator" or whatever. And, of course, we'd never warn you about viruses, because how in the world can we know you have a virus in the first place?
User account has been removed and added to the reserved names list. Hopefully this will keep them from coming back.
Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused!
